November Ebay Sales - Diva Monk

November as usual is busy, busy, busy and I haven't had time to post. Before I share my favorite sales I will share two new things that have happened. First is that I'm now on the ebay beta team for the iPhone app. I use the iPhone and iPad to do all of my listing, I had run into some html issues and an ebay iphone developer invited me to use the beta app. I actually really like it because I can see where they are going with new options for sellers and buyers before it's released.

The other cool thing that happened is I joined a local meet-up ground of ebay sellers here in San Diego, Ca. We all met at another sellers wherehouse and got to see his process. I walked away learning a few new things that have really helped Diva Monk. But mostly it was good to connect with other sellers since selling is such an isolating job. Most of us are listing indoors by ourselves all day and it's great to meet up with like minds.

I've sold se of my favorite things in the store this moth here are a few:

1960s Tapestry Coat with Phoenix buttons sold for $50

D&G girls cashmere party dress went for $100

IRO black sequin Moto jacket went for $101

Wonder Woman DC Comics Puffer Coat went for $220

Passport Red Peasent Top went for $25

And this just sold yesterday...Vintage 80s Mickey Mouse Cardigan Sweater went for $30

December is almost here! Unfortunately last year I had a lot of returns due to holiday shoppers. I'm hoping it's not as many this year, I really hate returns. I've decided to only stay open until the 21st, and take some time off until Jan! I didn't get any summer vacations so I'm super excited to see family and get some fun adventures under my belt before 2015.

Happy Holidays!

I was in love with this Ella Moss top and it sold the first time I listed it:

Here I am gearing up for Winter sales but lightweight items are still dominating sales. That should change in the next few weeks....

Until next time....

Opting In - Business Policies

While I'm sure eBay has its reasons, my eBay account did not have opting into business policies until recently. Well, ummmm, today.

Business policies allow you to set return, paypal and shipping preferences so you don't have to keep typing them into every listing. All seller accounts were supposed to be offering an opt in the banner by 2012 but here we are 2014 and up until today I was still having to type in shipping etc.

Finally tonight I got the customer service person to send me an opt in invitation! Prior to that I was asked to have patience which was a year ago. Did I mention I do eBay with mostly one hand? Can you imagine how excited I am to not have to type in all of those same preferences every single time I list an item?

Meanwhile I've let some eBay stress out by participating in my favorite Holiday...Oktoberfest!

I'm not German but I love silly Polka. Our community got busy building these beer cup towers which were actually pretty amazing.

My favorite polka dance besides the chicken dance is Alice. I find it amusing that old men playing polka ask young and old to say "Alice? Who the hell is Alice?" every time they say Alice.

One more Oktoberfest weekend and then the Halloween festivals began. I love October.

So much so I ombréd my hair in fall colors after watching a 12-year-olds you tube video. The Tweens these days get my thumbs up...

And lastly, I bought this Chilly Willy ugly Xmas sweater on eBay today. I couldn't resist.

Over and out!

A Few Items That Sold This Week on Diva Monk

This New Charger Tee went for $16, and the buyers positive feedback was "lightening fast shipping." Go Bolts! The best part is the shirt was free, a friend donated it to Diva Monk!

These Bebe Sunglasses sold for $60

Lane Bryant Sweater went for $32 in a week long bidding war.

This Style & Co sweater sold the first time I listed it for $23, which I felt like it would go fast since it's so cute. I bought it and the sweater above for $2 each at a second hand store that benefits hospice care. (I love that part and try and use them often since they run on volunteers.)

This Les Copains top sold for $25 I originally had it listed for $50. I was sure the European market would jump on it since it's high end but no, after a few months I lowered the price til it sold. It has a real chain woven in the neck line, totally Devine!
Lastly I wanted to share this dress set that went for $70, it was one of my favorite items in Diva Monk. I bought it from an African woman who was returning to Africa after getting her degree here in the States. What's cool is the fabric is actually telling a story of women in Africa educating themselves and taking leadership roles.  It sold to a woman in Detroit, I love how magic passes through the store.
